The Ascension of Our Lord At-Home Service for May 24

It is the Seventh Sunday of Easter, the Ascension of Our Lord, and we learn that as the apostles looked on, Jesus was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. He ascended to the throne of God, but he will come the same way as he went into heaven. What a wonderful message of hope!

Pastor Rike’s Sermon

There is an anxiousness about the present time . . . The Ascension of Jesus speaks to this sense of loss and discomfort in several ways.

What are followers of Jesus to do during anxious and uncomfortable moments? The answer is found in that passage from Acts.  It is to wait and pray, trusting that what has been promised will be made clear. Click here to read the entire sermon.
