Sixth Sunday of Easter At-Home Service for May 17

It is the Sixth Sunday of Easter and Jesus promises the Holy Spirit.  “If you love me, keep my commands. “And I will ask the Father, and he will give you  another advocate to help you and be with you forever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.  ~ John 14:15-17

Pastor Rike’s Sermon

The call of God in Christ that comes to us closes the door on some hopes and desires while at the same time opening the way for us to explore things we have never imagined. In this way, the call of God actually joins us to Christ, killing a little piece of us so that the new life Christ already leads might be present in and with us.  When the call comes to us with such force it always bears fruit.  Click here to read the entire sermon.
