Help Needed to Sort Groceries for Stamp Out Hunger, Tuesday, May 21

On Tuesday, May 21, two groups from GSLC will help sort groceries in collaboration with the Sharpsburg Food Bank. Please join GSLC members at one or both shifts from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and/or 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the basement of St. Mary’s church in Sharpsburg.

If you cannot help on May 21, you alternatively can help sort groceries May 20 – 24 or May 28 – 31 during any of these times: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Stamp Out Hunger is an annual food drive organized by the U.S. Postal Service. Every second Saturday in May, letter carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns across America collect the goodness and compassion of their postal customers, who participate in the NALC Stamp Out Hunger National Food Drive — the largest one-day food drive in the nation.
