Food Bank Easter Baskets
Thank you to all of the members who filled Easter Baskets for the children served by the St. Vincent De Paul Society Food Bank at St. Mary’s Church in Sharpsburg. Thirty baskets were delivered for 30 children. The families truly appreciated the special treats for their children.

College Treat Boxes Sent
Spring treat boxes were mailed to five of our college students  — just in time for finals. Please welcome them back home when you see them in church this summer!

All of Us Care
Four social ministry volunteers worked with the kids in the All Of Us Care after school program in Sharpsburg planting sunflower seeds on April 2. Thank you to Joan Driscoll and Joanne Hermann for organizing the activity through the Christ Child Society and to Dawn Kotanchik for helping out.

New Thrift Store Under Construction in Sharpsburg
Representatives from several local churches recently met to discuss the need for a thrift store in Sharpsburg. The meeting was organized and led by Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church which is also investigating possible sites along Main Street. The goal is to create a non-profit entity which will be self-sufficient in serving the community, especially those with financial needs. The next meeting will be at 7:00 on May 16 at Roots of Faith.
