A Crafty Afternoon With the Social Committee at All of Us Care

Those creative kids at All of Us Care had a chance to decorate their own special pumpkins with the Social Ministry team on October 21! The glue was flowing, the markers coloring, the yarn swirling, and the beads sparkling! With our second visit, the program’s rules and routines have become a little more familiar. More importantly, we are learning names and getting better acquainted with our young protégés. Thanks to Ruby Wilkosz (Program Director) for getting all the pumpkins, and to Joan Driscoll, Dawn Kotanchik, Joanne Hermann, and Vickie Wille for participating, and to Ginny Villani for providing the awesome googly eyes! The next crafty afternoon will be at 3:00 PM on Friday, December 9. Please consider joining us.

Cooking Classes at All of Us Care

Fredrica Cryan and Dawn Kotanchik volunteered to help with the cooking classes at All of Us Care when they graciously responded to an urgent last-minute request. They assisted with preparation as 15 kids made dinner for their families on Nov. 7. Fredrica also participated in the class on October 24. Thank you Dawn and Fredrica! Please support ALL OF US CARE in their mission to provide a safe and enriching after-school environment for at-risk youth. The program will be our designated monthly benevolence in January.

Pumpkin Decorating With the “Ladies of Good Shepherd” at Bassler Cottage

On October 29, the LOGS (Ladies of Good Shepherd) brought pumpkins, decorations, and magic markers to Bassler Cottage for the girls to use their creative skills and decorate each pumpkin. They did a great job! Afterwards we had pizza, fruit salad, cookies and drinks for lunch. Many thanks to Joan Driscoll, our craft leader and Vicki Wille for all her help. The girls loved their pumpkins and had a great time!
