Donate Food and/or Money to Backpacks for Hunger

Now Accepting Food and Monetary Donations for Backpack for Hunger

We accept both monetary and food donations for Backpack for Hunger. This local program provides food on weekends for Fox Chapel Area students who may not have had enough food otherwise.

Want to Donate Food?

Please bring individually wrapped food packets of nutritious items and drop them in the “Backpack for Hunger” box in the Narthex. Nutritious items include applesauce, cheese and crackers, drink boxes, pudding cups, Jello with fruit, etc.

Want to Donate Money?

Two ways to donate money:
1. Give Online. Next to “Other,” enter a dollar amount and “Backpack for Hunger” in the textbox.
2. Write a check made out to “Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Fox Chapel” with “Backpack for Hunger” in the subject line. Drop your check in an offertory plate, or send it to the office by mail.
